The markupo is an enormous serpentine creature that originates from Hiligaynon mythology. It is  a foul and deadly creature that eminates a breath so poisonous that any living thing that gets exposed to it will die. Even plants and trees that it breathes on becomes so blighted that birds and insects that land on them will die as well.

At the tail end of the rainy season, the Markupo lays eggs and become more sluggish, rendering it more vulnerable to its enemies.
