The Kiwig is a type of aswang that can shapeshift at night and turn into animals such as a dog, cat or wild boar. It is notable that the appearance of the animal the Kiwig usually shapeshifts into has black fur, jet black eyes and an odd looking tail.

It is told that the Kiwig invades people's houses to kill and eat them, especially babies that won't stop crying as well as pregnant women.
