AMANSINAYA
According to ancient Tagalog mythology, Amansinaya was once a mortal woman who died from drowning. She later turned into a wandering soul of naiad or female water deity. In some variations of the myth, Amansinaya is one of the three primordial deities alongside Bathla and Amihan.
However, whatever the variations of the story may be, it remains consistent that Amansinaya is the deity of the sea, fishermen, and sailors. They offer prayers to the deity for a bountiful catch.
